Christopher M. Dyer was named director of global equity and Aidan M. Farrell was named global small-cap portfolio manager at Eaton Vance Management International, said Robyn Tice, company spokeswoman.
Both positions are new. Beginning June 15, Mr. Dyer will be responsible for building and leading a global equity investment team and managing global and international equity portfolios, while Mr. Farrell will be responsible for managing global and international small-cap equity portfolios, leading a team of analysts and working alongside Mr. Dyer to expand the global equity business.
Messrs. Dyer and Farrell will be based in London and report to Edward J. Perkin, chief equity investment officer.
Mr. Perkin plans to continue expanding Eaton Vance Management International’s global equities team over the next few months, Ms. Tice said.
Mr. Dyer was managing director and head of European equity for Goldman Sachs Asset Management, while Mr. Farrell was a managing director at GSAM and lead portfolio manager for the Goldman Sachs International Small-Cap Equity Fund and the Goldman Sachs European small- and midcap equity strategy. It could not be learned by press time if they were replaced.
Eaton Vance and its affiliates managed $303.4 billion in assets as of March 31.
