St. Louis Employees’ Retirement System is searching for an active domestic small-cap growth equity manager to run $20 million, said Richard Olliges, accounting officer.
The $780 million pension fund’s current small-cap growth manager is Columbia Partners Investment Management. Mr. Olliges did not have further information.
The pension fund originally had issued an RFP for the portfolio in August 2013 because Columbia Partners was on watch for underperformance; that search was canceled in November.
Proposals are due at 4 p.m. CDT on June 5. A timetable for a decision has yet to be determined.
The RFP is available on the city’s website.
Investment consultant Summit Strategies Group is assisting.
