Douglas Eu will become the U.S. CEO for Allianz Global Investors, spokeswoman Megan Frank said in an e-mail Tuesday.
Mr. Eu, currently CEO Asia-Pacific for the firm, will replace Brian Gaffney, who is retiring in 2016.
Ms. Frank said a replacement for Mr. Eu has not been named yet.
Mr. Eu, who is based in Hong Kong, joined the firm in 2006 from JF Asset Management, which is now part of J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
