Schroders reported £391.5 billion ($586 billion) in assets under management as of March 31, up 6.5% from three months earlier, said its interim management statement released Thursday.
AUM was also up 19.2% from a year earlier.
Institutional AUM was £181 billion as of March 31, up 5.8% from Dec. 31 and up 23.7% from March 31, 2014. Institutional AUM accounts for 46.2% of total AUM.
The increase in institutional AUM came as a result of £7.9 billion in market gains and net inflows of £2 billion for the quarter. The previous quarter saw £16.1 billion in institutional net inflows and £3.9 billion in market gains.
New business for the first quarter totaled £5.1 billion.
