Tjarko Hektor, a managing director on the secondary investments team of Carlyle Group’s AlpInvest Partners subsidiary and chairman of AlpInvest’s investment committee, left the firm Thursday, said Randall Whitestone, Carlyle Group spokesman, in an e-mail.
Mr. Whitestone declined to comment beyond confirming Mr. Hektor’s departure.
Chris Perriello, a managing director on the secondary investments team focusing on the Americas, has taken over as investment committee chairman, said sources familiar with the situation. Mr. Hektor could not be reached by press time. A source said Mr. Hektor does not yet know his plans.
