Chaves County, Roswell, N.M., is searching for an investment manager for its $66.5 million permanent fund, said Steve Harris, county treasurer.
The search is being conducted due to the June 30 contract expiration of Cutwater Asset Management, which is invited to rebid.
Cutwater manages all of the permanent fund assets with some discretion. The selected manager must adhere to the permanent fund's investment policy and reports to the county's board of commissioners.
The RFP is available on the county's website. Registration is required. Proposals are due by 2 p.m. MDT on May 6. A hiring decision is expected at the end of May, with a July 1 contract start date.
