CalSTRS invests $100 million in activist hedge fund

California State Teachers’ Retirement System, West Sacramento, invested $100 million in activist hedge fund Red Mountain Capital Partners, spokesman Ricardo Duran said in an e-mail.

Mr. Duran said with the investment, the $191.2 billion pension fund has invested $3.7 billion with activist managers.
