Lubbock (Texas) Fire Pension Fund committed $10 million to the Blackstone Real Estate Income Fund, recently released draft board meeting minutes show.
The closed-end fund managed by Blackstone Group focuses primarily on real estate-related debt investments. Funding will come from fixed-income manager Luther King Capital Management, the minutes said. Additional details could not be learned.
Jack Watkins, plan administrator for the $185 million pension fund, could not be reached by press time.
