Law Society of Scotland, Edinburgh, hired Punter Southall to provide actuarial, administration and investment services for its pension fund, said David Cullen, chairman of the trustees.
The Law Society of Scotland Staff Retirement Benefits Scheme has £7 million ($10.5 million) in assets.
Mr. Cullen said the hire followed an open and competitive procurement process.
“In appointing a new service provider, we were keen to assess not only their technical expertise, but also their culture and values,” Mr. Cullen said in a news release from Punter Southall.
Law Society of Scotland is the professional body and regulator for solicitors in Scotland.
