Tom Neukranz joined Aegon USA Investment Management as head of distribution, a news release said.
Mr. Neukranz replaces Peter Brennan, who left in January. It could not be learned by press time where Mr. Brennan went.
Spokesman Paul Johnson did not respond to an e-mail and phone call seeking additional details.
Mr. Neukranz was director of the institutional business at RS Investments. Matt Scanlan, CEO of RS Investments, said in an interview Mr. Neukranz left in November 2013 and was not replaced.
