Louisiana Municipal Police Employees Retirement System, Baton Rouge, will commit $15 million each to a secondary private equity fund and a private equity fund of funds later this year, said Kelli Rogers, chief financial officer.
The $1.8 billion pension fund approved the private equity strategic plan for 2015 at its Wednesday board meeting. Investment consultant NEPC will bring a list of potential managers to the pension fund’s May 20 board meeting to review.
The pension fund’s private equity target is 3%. As of March 31, the actual allocation to private equity was 1.7%.
