Glen R. Grell was named executive director of the $51.7 billion Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System, Harrisburg, spokeswoman Evelyn Williams said in an e-mail.
Mr. Grell will start May 1 and replace Jeffrey B. Clay, who had been executive director since March 2003 and retired April 3. Terrill Sanchez, deputy executive director, is currently covering his duties as acting executive director and will resume her previous duties upon Mr. Grell’s arrival.
Mr. Grell is currently a Pennsylvania state representative and also was a member of PennPSERS’ board of trustees from 2009 to January 2015.
