Louisiana Teachers’ Retirement System, Baton Rouge, is searching for active international small-cap equity managers to run a total of $535 million, said Dana Brown, director of public markets.
The $16.7 billion pension fund plans to post a solicitation for proposals early this week due to the pending expirations of the contracts of current managers Mondrian Investment Partners, which manages $250 million, and Dimensional Fund Advisors, which runs $285 million. Both will be invited to rebid.

Also, the pension fund named Thompson Siegel & Walmsley, WEDGE Capital Management and Wells Capital Management as finalists in its search for an active domestic midcap value equity manager to run about $300 million.
