James Del Gaudio was named private debt portfolio manager at Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System, said Evelyn Williams, spokeswoman for the $51.7 billion pension fund.
The position is new. Mr. Del Gaudio will be responsible for overseeing the Harrisburg-based pension plan’s $1.21 billion private debt portfolio, which makes up 2.4% of PennPSERS’ assets. He will report to Charles Spiller, managing director of private markets and real estate.
Mr. Del Gaudio was a senior investment officer, private equity, at New York City comptroller’s office. He was replaced by Eneasz Kadziela, who was previously director of private equity research and fund relations at Small Business Investor Alliance, said Eric Sumberg, a spokesman for New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer, fiduciary for the five public pension funds that make up the $163.4 billion New York City Retirement Systems. Mr. Kadziela has been joined by three others on the private equity team being led by Alex Done. Mr. Sumberg declined to disclose the additional three staffers.
