Anand Sinha, a former deputy governor of India’s central bank, was appointed industry adviser at KKR, the firm announced Thursday.
A KKR news release said Mr. Sinha — who served as deputy governor of the Reserve Bank of India for the three years through January 2014 and was “closely involved” in banking sector reform over his 37-year career with the bank — will contribute to KKR’s “integrated model of value creation” in India.
Mr. Sinha’s experience will support KKR’s investments and help the firm build out its multiple asset-class platforms in India, Sanjay Nayar, the Mumbai-based CEO of KKR India, said in the news release.
