New Bedford (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for an emerging markets equity manager to run about $20 million.
Segal Rogerscasey, investment consultant to the $290 million pension fund, is assisting with the search.
Only commingled funds will be considered, said Segal Rogerscasey spokesman Todd Kohlhepp. Funding will be determined at a later date. The search is being conducted to comply with state law. Although Mr. Kohlhepp declined to disclose the name of the incumbent manager, he said the board is very happy with the incumbent and the firm is welcome to rebid.
The RFP can be found on Segal Rogerscasey’s website. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. EDT April 21. A selection date was not disclosed.
