St. Louis Police Retirement System committed $37 million to a private real estate fund managed by Principal Real Estate Investors, said Stephen G. Olish, executive director, in an e-mail.
The $723 million pension fund’s investment consultant, Marquette Associates, assisted.
As of Feb. 28, the pension fund had no private real estate managers and one REIT manager, CenterSquare Investment Management, which managed $32 million.
Mr. Olish did not provide further information by press time.
