Tulare County Employees' Retirement Association, Visalia, Calif., named three finalists in its search for a core-plus fixed-income manager to run about $101 million, said David Kehler, retirement administrator.
The finalists who have been invited to make presentations at the April 22 board meeting are J.P. Morgan Asset Management, MacKay Shields and DoubleLine Capital. A hiring decision could be made this summer.
The selected firm will replace Pacific Investment Management Co., which was terminated from a similar portfolio in January.
Investment consultant Wurts & Associates is assisting with the search.
The pension fund has roughly $1.3 billion in assets.
