Paul Eitelman joined Russell Investments as an investment strategist, a spokesman said.
Mr. Eitelman replaces Doug Gordon, who was promoted to a new position of senior portfolio manager, tactical asset allocation strategies. Mr. Gordon will serve on the firm's U.S. multiasset portfolio management team.
Mr. Eitelman joined a global team of strategists — a component of Russell's broader multiasset solutions team, said Andrew Pease, global head of investment strategy, in a news release.
Mr. Pease said the team is considered the backbone of Russell's thought leadership in regard to investment outlook content and related recommendations for portfolio positioning.
Mr. Eitelman was previously a vice president, senior economist at J.P. Morgan Chase. Spokeswoman Kristen Chambers said in an e-mail that the firm declined to comment about a replacement for Mr. Eitelman.
