The Department of Labor ERISA Advisory Council will spend 2015 taking an in-depth look at pension fund derisking and lifetime plan participation.
Meeting in Washington on March 20, the 15-member council, which provides advice on policies and regulations to the Labor Department’s Employee Benefits Security Administration, decided to limit its scope to two subjects, instead of the customary three. The exact title and scope of working groups for those issues will be announced at the council’s next meeting, which has not been announced.
Calls to EBSA officials for further details were not returned by press time.
