Iowa Municipal Fire & Police Retirement System, West Des Moines, is searching for a core or value real estate manager to run $25 million, said Terry Slattery, executive director.
The $2.2 billion pension fund’s investment consultant, Summit Strategies Group, is conducting a shortlist search, Mr. Slattery said. However, the pension fund opens the search to all potentially qualified managers, Mr. Slattery said. Interested managers should contact Phineas W. Troy, vice president at Summit, at 314-727-7211. There are no plans to issue an RFP.
The search is part of the pension fund’s effort to keep its real estate allocation at its 10% target, Mr. Slattery said.
The pension fund’s board could make a decision in July or August.
