Chicago Public School Teachers’ Pension & Retirement Fund issued an RFP for fiduciary, tax and investment legal services.
The $10.4 billion pension fund could hire more than one firm. The scope of the work includes providing counsel on negotiation of investment management services, prohibited transactions, investment-related tax exposure, and fiduciary training.
The RFP is available on the pension fund’s website. Proposals are due March 27. The pension fund’s board could make a decision April 10.
Frances Radencic, the pension fund’s director of member and office services, couldn’t be reached for comment about the search.
Separately, pension fund executives extended the deadline for responses to its RFI in a search for private equity managers owned by minorities, women or people with disabilities, according to Ms. Radencic. Submissions are now due March 13, she said in an e-mail. Proposals were initially due March 6.
The pension fund is seeking to identify such firms and build knowledge of their private equity management capabilities.
The RFI also is available on the pension fund’s website.
