The $103 billion SWIB seeks assessments and recommendations on accounting policies related to private equity investments and their alignment, if any, with real estate and hedge funds investment accounting; operational and accounting due diligence over private equity investments necessary to identify and assess risk; and the feasibility of aligning the private equity accounting group's reporting and the investment group's reporting of private equity investment activity for consistency purposes.
Other services it seeks include an analysis of the impact of any recommended changes in accounting treatment on financial reporting and performance.
SWIB has $7 billion in private equity.
The RFP is available on SWIB's website. Proposals are due March 19. SWIB expects to make a selection the week of April 27.
