Felicity Walsh was named solutions portfolio manager at Franklin Templeton Solutions in Sydney.
The position is new and expands the solutions team in Sydney to four people, said Joe Marassa, head of marketing with Franklin Templeton Investments in Australia, in an e-mail.
Ms. Walsh’s “institutional background” will strengthen the firm's “outcome-oriented” solutions capabilities in Australia, said Samuel Mann, Sydney-based head of Franklin Templeton Solutions and Franklin Templeton subsidiary K2 Advisors Australia, said in a news release.
Ms. Walsh was an investment consultant at Towers Watson. The firm will be replacing Ms. Walsh, said Graeme Miller, head of Towers Watson’s Australia business, in an e-mail.
Mr. Marassa said the Franklin Templeton Solutions/K2 business oversees A$4.3 billion (US$3.4 billion) in Australia, and US$40 billion globally.
