Salem, Ore., is searching for a consultant to assist in the search for a single record keeper for its $67 million 457 plan, said an RFP e-mailed from the city’s contracts and procurement division.
The city is seeking a consultant to “assist in RFP development and selection of a single third-party record keeper, coordinate the transition to a single third-party record keeper and develop a plan participant communication strategy regarding the third-party record-keeper change.”
The RFP also said additional ongoing services might be considered.
The current record keepers are ICMA-RC, Nationwide Financial and VALIC. A timeline for a record-keeper RFP and whether all firms will be invited to rebid could not be learned by press time.
The RFP can be requested by calling 503-588-6136. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. PDT on March 13. A decision is expected by March 31.
