Anik Sen was named managing director and global head of equities at PineBridge Investments, a spokeswoman said.
Mr. Sen replaced Robin Thorn, who joined Abu Dhabi Investment Authority in August as senior strategist, equities, confirmed ADIA spokesman Erik Portanger.
Mr. Sen will manage the firm's $21.2 billion global equities business. He is based in New York and reports to PineBridge CEO David Jiang. He was chosen as interim global head of equities at PineBridge Investments in June. Prior to being named to the interim position, Mr. Sen was managing director, co-portfolio manager and global equities research coordinator. His responsibilities were assumed by the equities team.
PineBridge managed more than $72.9 billion in assets as of Dec. 31.
