Illinois State Treasurer’s office, Springfield, is searching for a program manager for its $1.8 billion Bright Directions 529 plan, said an RFP posted on its website.
The selected firm will provide administration, record keeping and investment management, among other services.
It could not be learned by press time whether the incumbent provider, Union Bank & Trust, is invited to rebid. Union Bank & Trust’s contract will expire Nov. 14.
Wilshire Consulting is the plan’s investment consultant.
The RFP is available on the treasurer’s website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. CDT on April 7. Finalist interviews are tentatively scheduled for the week of May 4, with a potential hiring decision the week of May 18.
A spokeswoman in the treasurer’s office could not immediately provide additional information by press time. Tracy Rutter, chief procurement officer, could not immediately be reached.
