Muriel Knapp was promoted to national business leader for defined contribution advisers at Mercer, effective immediately, spokeswoman Anna Gioni said Thursday.
Ms. Knapp’s duties include business and product strategy, oversight of operations and product development for Mercer’s consulting business affecting DC plans with assets ranging from $5 million to $75 million, Ms. Gioni said in an interview.
Ms. Knapp, based in Washington, replaces Charles Ledbetter, who will remain at Mercer until he retires in September. Mr. Ledbetter will act as a supervisory principal for compliance and help Ms. Knapp with accounting, licensing and product development as part of the leadership transition, Ms. Gioni said.
Ms. Knapp had been Mercer’s market leader for defined contribution advisers in the South and Midwest markets. Mercer has not yet announced a replacement, Ms. Gioni said.
