Mike Kelly was named executive vice president and chief investment officer at alternatives manager Franklin Square Capital Partners, spokeswoman said Deborah Kostroun.
The position is new. Mr. Kelly will oversee the investment management and product development teams and serve on the company’s executive committee.
Mr. Kelly will report to Michael C. Forman, chairman and CEO of Franklin Square.
Mr. Kelly was CEO of ORIX USA Asset Management. ORIX spokesman Brad Borud could not be reached by press time for replacement information.
Franklin Square managed about $13.6 billion in assets as of Sept. 30.
