Sophie van Oosterom was promoted to chief investment officer EMEA at real estate money manager CBRE Global Investors, spokeswoman Helen Stott said in an e-mail.
Ms. van Oosterom also was appointed a member of the CBRE EMEA executive committee. She was previously head of special programs for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She will continue in that role, Ms. Stott wrote.
Ms. van Oosterom’s new duties include investment strategy, investment underwriting and performance management in the region. She will also chair the European investment committee. She will report to Pieter Hendrikse, CEO of EMEA.
She replaces Will Rowson, CIO EMEA who left at the end of January to join Hodes Weill & Associates, a global real estate advisory boutique, as a partner.
CBRE Global Investors had $88.6 billion in assets under management as of Sept. 30.
