Miguel Salinero Barbolla was named client service associate at Capital Group, a spokesman said.
The position is new, and Mr. Salinero is based in London. Mr. Salinero facilitates client servicing for the $1.35 trillion firm’s financial institutions and intermediaries in Europe. The spokesman said the appointment is part of the firm’s European expansion.
“(Mr. Salinero’s) appointment is important as we continue to establish new — and deepen our existing — relationships with intermediaries and our distribution partners across Europe,” said Grant Leon, head of sales for financial institutions and intermediaries at Capital Group, in a news release.
Mr. Salinero was previously head of international client services at BNY Mellon Investment Management, according to the news release. A spokeswoman could not be reached for comment by press time.
