Jeffrey D. Mueller was appointed vice president, portfolio manager and global high-yield analyst at Eaton Vance Management International, a spokesman said.
The position is new, and Mr. Mueller will start in mid-March. He will oversee the growth of Eaton Vance’s global corporate credit capabilities, leading investment management and credit research for all non-U.S. high-yield bond opportunities. The appointment is part of the $296 billion money manager’s European expansion; Mr. Mueller will be based in London.
Michael W. Weilheimer, director of high yield at Eaton Vance, said in a statement the firm plans to hire additional global credit analysts later this year to report to Mr. Mueller.
Mr. Mueller is a high-yield portfolio manager and investment analyst at Threadneedle Asset Management. “(Mr. Mueller) will be leaving after a transition period, and we are looking to hire a new analyst in due course,” a Threadneedle spokeswoman said in an e-mail.
