Nicole Vettise joined RBC Global Asset Management as institutional portfolio manager in the firm’s London-based business development team, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Ms. Vettise is a capability specialist for the firm’s emerging markets equities team, and is the firm’s expert for global natural resources. Her appointment is the latest in a series over the past year, including the addition of a 10-person global equity team in January 2014.
“The significant expansion of our London office over the past year, as well as our growing range of investment solutions, positions us to deliver the geographical and asset class diversification institutions need amid a shifting global macro outlook,” said Clive Brown, managing director and CEO at RBC GAM U.K., in a news release.
Ms. Vettise was previously an executive director and lead client portfolio manager for J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s natural resources strategies and for its global thematic equity funds. A spokeswoman for J.P. Morgan Asset Management said Ms. Vettise’s duties are being absorbed by existing team members.
RBC GAM has more than $350 billion in assets under management.
