David Hillier joined Insight Investment as portfolio manager in the multiasset strategy team, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new.
Based in London, Mr. Hillier reports to Matthew Merritt, head of the multiasset strategy group.
Mr. Hillier “will play an integral role in driving performance for our clients and help to support the continued growth of our business,” Mr. Merritt said in a news release.
Mr. Hillier previously was a senior economist focusing on the U.S. economy at Aviva Investors. A spokesman for Aviva Investors said the firm is realigning its strategy team to ensure research is more directly relevant to its multiasset portfolios. He didn’t provide further information.
Insight Investment manages £318 billion ($478.5 billion) across fixed-income, liability-driven investment, absolute-return, cash management, multiasset, specialist equity and currency strategies.
