North Dakota Public Employees Retirement System, Bismarck, put the PIMCO Total Return Fund and Wells Fargo Advantage Growth Fund on watch, an announcement on the retirement system's website said.
Reasons behind the status changes were not disclosed.
William H. Gross, Pacific Investment Management Co.'s co-founder and chief investment officer, left the firm Sept. 26.
Both funds are offered under the retirement system's $31.6 million 401(a) and $61 million 457 companion plan lineups.
