University System of Georgia, Atlanta, is searching for a discretionary investment consultant and custodian for its $580 million pooled investment fund.
The system’s board of regents is seeking one or more firms to “serve in a full fiduciary capacity as discretionary investment adviser and custodian for the university system’s investment pools,” said an RFP posted on the state’s procurement website.
The firm will oversee the investments of six funds, including a $37 million Diversified Fund for Foundations. Information on the current firm or firms providing the services could not be learned by press time, but the RFP said the incumbent has the potential of retaining the business.
The RFP is available on the state’s procurement website. Proposals are due at 1 p.m. EDT on March 9. Finalist presentations are tentatively scheduled for March 30-31, with a decision expected sometime in May. A one-year contract with four optional one-year renewals begins July 1.
Kristi Fuss, the system’s controller, did not return phone calls by press time.
