Kirk West has been named executive director-head of international offices with Principal Global Investors, a new position.
The role was created to provide additional senior management outside the United States, a news release said.
Mr. West also has taken on the role of CEO of the firm's Asian operations on an interim basis, said a Hong Kong-based spokeswoman for the firm.
He replaces Andrea Muller in the Asia CEO role. Ms. Muller, in turn, will take on Mr. West's previous role as executive director-head of international distribution.
Mr. West will relocate to Singapore from Sydney on Jan. 19, the spokeswoman said.
