Kansas City, Mo., is searching for an executive officer for the $1 billion Kansas City Employees’ Retirement System and $500 million Kansas City Firefighters' Pension System, a job posting on the National Association of State Retirement Administrator shows.
The selected candidate will “work under the general administrative supervision of the director of human resources, and ensure that all employee benefit assets … are properly safeguarded and invested in accordance with sound investment principles and fiduciary standards,” the job posting said.
Richard Boersma, the current executive officer, could not be reached for information on his plans by press time.
The job posting is available on NASRA’s website. A deadline for applications and an anticipated hiring date were not disclosed.
