Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, Oak Brook, is searching for several transition managers, spokeswoman Megha Kauffman said in an e-mail.
The pension fund is looking for “a bench of providers (that) will give IMRF flexibility and help explore best options for transition events,” Ms. Kauffman wrote.
Ms. Kauffman declined to comment on whether Northern Trust, the incumbent transition manager, is invited to rebid, citing a quiet period established for the RFP.
The RFP is available on the $34.9 billion pension fund's website. Proposals are due Jan. 30. No hiring date has been set, Ms. Kauffman wrote.
