Blackstone adds global CIO for real estate

Kenneth Caplan was promoted to global chief investment officer for real estate at Blackstone Group, spokeswoman Christine Anderson said in an e-mail.

It is a new position. Mr. Caplan reports to Jonathan Gray, global head of real estate.

Mr. Caplan was a senior managing director and head of real estate for Europe. Anthony Myers, a senior managing director, is replacing Mr. Caplan.
