Mihir Meswani and Nicolas Laporte have joined Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management as directors and portfolio managers in the firm's hedge fund advisory business, spokeswoman Oksana Poltavets said.
The positions are new. Messrs. Meswani and Laporte focus on advising clients on custom portfolio solutions and employing liquid alternatives such as managed accounts, UCITS and Investment Company Act of 1940 funds. They report to Tim Gascoigne, managing director and head of hedge fund advisory for DeAWM.
Mr. Meswani was a consultant at Mount Yale Capital Group. Greg Anderson, chief investment officer of Mount Yale Capital's parent company Princeton Fund Advisors, could not be reached by press time.
Mr. Laporte, was a senior portfolio manager of alternative investments for the $29.2 billion British Airways Pension Scheme, Middlesex, England. A British Airways Pension Scheme spokesman said in an e-mail that the pension fund might seek a replacement for Mr. Laporte later in 2015.
DeAWM had $1.27 trillion in assets under management as of Sept. 30.
