John C. Donohue was named managing director and head of liquidity management at RBC Global Asset Management, spokesman Matthew Gierasimczuk said.
The position is new. Mr. Donohue is responsible for business, sales and product development opportunities related to institutional cash management strategies. He will be based in RBC GAM's Boston office and will report to Mike Refojo, managing director and head of institutional sales in the U.S.
Mr. Donohue was vice president and head of institutional cash management services at Eaton Vance. Spokeswoman Colleen Lavery said that the firm has no plans to replace Mr. Donohue; his responsibilities have been assumed by Tom Luster, co-director of diversified fixed income.
