Annette Guarisco Fildes was named CEO of the ERISA Industry Committee Monday.
ERIC is a non-profit association representing employers on benefit issues.
Ms. Fildes is a former executive vice president for public affairs for the Retail Industry Leaders Association in Arlington, Va. She also previously worked at General Motors Co. and Honeywell International Inc. in positions in public policy and government affairs dealing with pensions and benefit issues.
Ms. Fildes succeeds interim CEO Scott Macey, who took over after Mark Ugoretz retired in 2012.
“Annette’s strategic vision and thought leadership, her deep knowledge of Washington, D.C., and proven record of making a difference for employer-sponsored benefit programs made her the unanimous choice of the board,” said Jeanne Denz, ERIC board chairwoman and director of global employee benefits for General Mills Inc., in a statement.
