The Stephans Van Liew and Oiler group, an eight-member institutional consulting and private wealth management team, left Bank of America Merrill Lynch and joined Graystone Consulting, said Graystone spokeswoman Christy Jockle.
The team's three senior partners are managing directors Linda Stephans, Kristina Van Liew and Erik Oiler. The other team members are Iftikhar Khan, vice president, director of business strategy; Patricia Zavagnin, vice president, group director; Niesha Parekh, vice president, director of business strategy; Eric Hatch, assistant vice president, institutional consulting analyst; and Alicia Garabedian, client service associate.
The team will continue to work together and specializes in clients such as health-care organizations, research institutes, university endowments, corporate pension funds, family offices and high-net-worth individuals.
The team joins the Morgan Stanley subsidiary from the Bank of America Merrill Lynch's private banking and investments group, where they were part of the global institutional consulting group and oversaw $6.5 billion in assets.
