Chicago Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Retirement Fund hired LSV Asset Management to run about $77 million in international small-cap value equities, said Susan Boutin, executive director of the $1.3 billion pension fund, in an e-mail.
Funding will come from existing domestic equity managers; no firm will be terminated.
LSV also manages a roughly $74 million domestic large-cap value equity portfolio for the pension fund.
The pension fund's other international equity managers are Hexavest and Vontobel Asset Management.
