Douglas County Employees' Retirement Plan, Omaha, Neb., hired Delaware Investments to run a $15 million active domestic fixed-income portfolio, said recently released pension committee meeting minutes.
Funding comes from the $266 million pension fund's termination of Pacific Investment Management Co. from a similar portfolio.
A reason for the termination was not given, but multiple plans have terminated PIMCO since the Sept. 26 resignation of William H. Gross, the firm's co-founder and chief investment officer.
Investment consultant Asset Consulting Group assisted.
Kathy Adair, insurance and pension coordinator, did not return phone calls by press time.
