University of Kentucky, Lexington, approved $130 million in commitments for its $1.2 billion endowment, said Susan Krauss, treasurer for the university, in an e-mail.
Investment staff committed an additional $100 million to Neuberger Berman for the NB Wildcats Fund, a separately managed, diversified private equity fund of funds. Staff previously committed $100 million to the fund.
The additional commitment will bring the endowment closer to its 12% target allocation to private equity, up from its current actual allocation of 10%.
Also, the university committed $20 million to Northwood Real Estate Partners Series V, managed by Northwood Investors; and $10 million to Real Estate Capital Asia Partners IV, managed by SC Capital Partners.
Investment staff previously committed to other Northwood Investors and SC Capital Partners funds.
The new commitments will bring the endowment closer to its 12% target allocation to real estate, up from its current allocation of 7%.
