Hawaii Deferred Compensation Fund, Honolulu, is searching for an investment consultant, said Cynthia Akiyoshi, personnel management specialist for benefits administration in Hawaii's Department of Human Resources Development.
Incumbent consultant Mercer is invited to rebid. The search is being conducted because Mercer's contract will expire June 30.
The 457 plan has about $1.9 billion in assets and offers 16 stand-alone investment options in addition to a series of target-date funds and a brokerage window.
The RFP is available on the state's procurement website. Interested firms must file an intent to bid notice by 2 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time on Jan. 28. The deadline for completed proposals is 2 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time on Feb. 12. A hiring decision is anticipated for April 30, with a July 1 start date.
