Canada and China top the list of Cuba’s largest trading partners, according to the latest data from the CIA World Factbook. In 2012, Canada accounted for 17.7% of the country’s exports, followed by China (16.9%), Venezuela (12.5%) and the Netherlands (9%).
The CIA lists petroleum, nickel, medical products, sugar, tobacco, fish, citrus and coffee as the country’s top exports.
Cuba took center stage Wednesday as President Obama announced the U.S. would work to normalize relations with the nation.
