Lancashire County Council Pension Fund, Preston, England, is searching for a pool of investment consultants, said an announcement filed with European procurement website Tenders Electronic Daily.
The £5 billion ($7.8 billion) pension fund is seeking consultants in seven categories: credit, governance, infrastructure, macroeconomic analysis, private equity, public equity and real estate. The pension fund expects to have a pool of at least three and not more than 10 consultants for each category. Once the consultants are in place, the pension fund “will conduct a mini-competition exercise” whenever it requires services and only consultants in the pools will be invited to bid.
Information regarding current consultants in the pools was not available by press time.
The pension fund recently announced a proposal to partner with the £4.9 billion London Pensions Fund Authority to pool their assets.
The RFP is available on TED. Proposals are due at 10 a.m. Greenwich Mean Time on Jan. 20. A decision will be made within 90 days of the due date.
Executives at the pension fund were not available by press time.
